About Us
Training Nights
There is a plan for training sessions through the summer months, which can be accessed at the following link:
In addition, please note that all sessions are at 6.30 for 6.45 start, irrespective of the location.
If you would like further information about the club or you are a bit nervous about coming down to training for the first time please contact;
Tom Leather, Club Chairman at info@tattenhallrunners.com
They will be happy to answer your queries and will inform the coaches that you will be joining in one of our sessions.
Social Scene
We’re a sociable club and offer a range of activities for both our members and their families. We enjoy an annual awards night, Christmas meals, drinks after sessions, post race cake and occasionally a weekend away.
At the end of the year, we like to really let our hair down at our 4 mile Christmas Handicap Race. Tattenhall village is treated to an exhibition of runners in themed fancy dress, competing hard for the winner’s prestigious trophy. Attempts pre-race to influence the handicapper’s decision are common, but always ignored.
There is a growing interest in cycling within the Club, that perfectly compliments our running actvities. Weekend rides are often organised informally, but we do compete in a variety of competitions, including local races such as Oulton Park and Bolesworth Duathlons, and longer distance sportives.
The Running Club In The Heart Of Cheshire
Just come along to the club and see what we have to offer by joining in a couple of training sessions.
If you would then like to join our friendly club please see the how to join page.
Cross Country Running
Tattenhall Runners compete in the North Wales Cross Country League over the winter months, and in the annual Cheshire Championships.
Road
Running
In the winter we train on the quiet lanes around Tattenhall and members take part in road races throughout the year, from 5Ks to marathons, including the Borders League.
Social
The club enjoys a strong and diverse membership of all ages. We are a friendly bunch and welcome fresh faces both on training nights and in the Recreation Club bar.
